The HOFBURG Vienna is a barrier-free location.
Public transport
The Karlsplatz, Herrengasse, Stephansplatz and Volkstheater underground stations have escalators and stairs as well as lifts between the platform and street level.
Doors, lifts, stairs
All entrance areas are accessible at ground level. The exception to this is the Botschafterstiege staircase in the Schweizerhof, for which, however, a lift is available in the outdoor area, accessible via a wheelchair-accessible ramp. The doors in both the exterior and interior areas of the HOFBRUG Vienna offer wide openings (also due to the historical building structure) and more freedom of movement to accommodate different users and types of movement. In addition to stairs, there are also lifts that provide access to all levels.
Toilets for people with disabilities
Toilets for people with disabilities are located on the ground floor (parterre) and on the mezzanine floor (upper floor). These facilities can be reached quickly and easily via the wheelchair-accessible lift in the side gallery area. These toilet facilities are unisex and equipped with an emergency call system.
Access to conference rooms
All conference rooms are accessible to wheelchair users.
